Brittney Petro, LCSW, hails from Newburgh, Indiana. She received her undergraduate and master degrees in social work from the University of Southern Indiana. Brittney brings a variety of clinical skills to Within Sight from her prior work. She has experience in emergency service work and worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor at Evansville Treatment Center. Brittney also used her skills as an adjunct teacher in the Human Services Department at IVY Tech.
Brittney has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. She is very interested in treating those who suffer from PTSD and complex PTSD and is planning on getting specific training for these issues soon. She currently treats anxiety, adjustment issues, codependency issues, depression, grief, substance abuse and helps family members of those with substance abuse issues. Brittney likes to works with teens and adults in individual and family sessions.
Brittney is married to Nick and they have two children; Beckett and Ryanne as well as Luna the snake, Berry the tortoise and a dog named Mack. She loves spending time with her pack, watching Disney movies, baking and cooking while listening to her favorite tunes.
