Caron J. Leader, LCSW, ACSW, SEP, partner and psychotherapist, was raised in Evansville, Indiana and has lived in there most of her life. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Indiana. Caron worked as a case manager and outpatient therapist at several not for profits including the AIDS Resource Group, Catholic Charities and Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare before starting in private practice. She has also worked as an adjunct at the University of Southern Indiana.
Caron loves treating all age groups and sees children starting at age 4. She has extensive training in Sandtray Worldplay, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-Directed Outcome-Informed therapy. Caron is also a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapist, certified Safe and Sound Protocol therapist and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), useing supportive touch as an adjunct for nervous system regulation.
Caron utilizes her training to help people with a variety of issues including anxiety, AD/HD, depression, family of origin issues, grief, trauma and life transition issues. However, her somatic work has focused her work on relational, developmental and complex trauma. Caron also enjoys working with the LGBTQI+ community. As a small business owner, Caron loves helping other small business owners, managers and employees reach their professional goals and provides consultation services as well.
Caron and her husband are owned by their rescue dogs Lucy & Freyja. Caron loves spending time with her husband and pups. She also enjoys being outside, riding her bicycle, hiking and reading.
