Kathreena “Khat” Suarez, Administrator Coordinator, lives in Manila, Philippines, where she was born and raised. She attended De Ocampo Memorial College and studied to become a Dental Laboratory Technician. In 2012, her career took a different turn as she began working in the call center industry. Khat learned and honed her incredible customer service skills during this time.
During the pandemic, Khat began to work as a virtual assistant for My Mountain Mover, which is a virtual assistant outsourcing company that specializes in the healthcare industry and employs people from the Philippines. Khat’s opportunity came at just the right time and gave her the ability to work remotely during that difficult time. Khat is very grateful to My Mountain Mover for her position as a virtual assistant as this eventually led her to become a valued member of Within Sight’s administrative team. Khat focuses on insurance billing and client collections but helps with other administrative tasks too. Her attention to detail, hard work ethic, and quality customer service play an important role in our administrative work.
In the Philippines, there is a saying for call center agents; "Bayaning Puyat." Bayani means "hero" and Puyat means "lack of sleep." A fitting term for many call center agents who work the graveyard shift. Call center agents call themselves heroes because, through their work, they support their families, serve clients across the world and keep businesses running often while the rest of the world sleeps! Khat has been proudly working night shifts in the call center industry for the past 13 years. And while she lives very far away, she is very much a part of Within Sight’s team!
During Khat’s days off, she enjoys relaxing at home or visiting coffee shops to unwind and just breathe. She also loves to travel and has explored many of beautiful beaches across the Philippines. She hopes people in United States get the chance to visit someday and experience just how amazing these beaches truly are.
